Sylvanus Smalley was a politically active landowner and early settler in the town of Lenox in Madison County, New York, during the early part of the 19th century. He was also an active member of the Lenox Congregational Church. This collection includes the original 1810 lease agreement and a 20th century transcription of the agreement.
